Laurie Callahan, FNP-C, believes her most important role as a medical provider is to offer perioperative surgical care that best meets the needs and improves the health for her urogynecological patients. "My passion is to improve the patient surgical experience and assist our surgeons in their work to enhance our patients' quality of life," she says.
Laurie specializes in urogynecological surgery as a surgical first assistant and offers postoperative care for the PMG urogynecology group. She is also an InterStim Programming Care Specialist for the management of urinary and fecal incontinence. And she has experience with minimally invasive robotic daVinci surgery.
Laurie earned her master's in nursing and family nurse practitioner degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Laurie is a veteran of Desert Storm, having proudly served our country as a commissioned registered nurse in the Army Nurse Corps.
She moved to Southern Oregon to raise her two daughters in proximity to the beauty that the Rogue Valley offers. Laurie, with her family, has volunteered with Helping Hands of Baja, Mexico.
