Frederick P. French is a board certified general surgeon. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He also holds a degree in medical management from the University of Washington. Dr. French served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy and was deployed to Afghanistan as a combat surgeon. Dr. French’s surgical practice encompasses all areas of general surgery. He has special interests in minimally invasive surgery and in the treatment of abdominal wall hernias. Dr. French has active privileges at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Valley Hospital and Medical Center, and Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. French is available to see patients at our Cataldo office and Valley office. Dr. French also provides Acute Trauma Care, Critical Care and Acute Surgical Care at Sacred Heart, the only Level II Trauma center in Eastern Washington.
