About John R. Handy

Dr. Handy is the director of Providence Thoracic Surgery Program and the co-director of Providence Thoracic Oncology Program. He sees patients at Providence Thoracic Surgery. "My goal, as a surgeon and program director, is to have superior outcomes in the treatment of chest disease. This encompasses all aspects of the person, especially medical and functional. I use advanced surgical techniques coupled with extensive data collection and analysis to provide constantly improving care.

Dr. Handy is the lead surgeon working on the Providence Thoracic Surgery Initative and ProvenCare with American College of Surgeons. Dr. Handy is associated with Providence Cancer Institute.
