Dr. James Davidian is a board certified ophthalmologist. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, from routine eye examinations to advanced diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, corneal disease, and ocular trauma. A fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Davidian was the Chief Surgeon and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Riverside County Regional Medical Center from 1980-2001. He is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology on the faculty of Loma Linda University. Medical missions that serve the eye care needs of people around the world have been important throughout his career. Dr. Davidian is the founder and past president of the Adventist International Eye Society, a non-profit organization benefitting eye care programs in Mexico, Africa, and Madagascar. In 1983, he helped establish a fully-functioning ophthalmology independent residency program in Montemorelos, Mexico. He has also helped people in Ecuador, Honduras, and the Marshall Islands. Jim’s interests outside his medical practice include woodworking, electronics, playing the piano, antique auto restoration, and spending time with his four grandchildren.
