From a young age, Dr. Melissa Calhoun knew she wanted to be a physician. She enjoys family medicine because of the relationships she gets to build with patients and their families. She feels it is a special privilege to care for a person through all stages of life, and she loves the challenges of family medicine, as every day is different.
Dr. Calhoun places special emphasis on overall healthy habits and working together with her patients to give them the best and healthiest life they can live. "I believe in working with each individual patient as part of a team, because we have the same goal - their health," she says.
Dr. Calhoun earned her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in Corvallis and medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She completed her residency with Valley Family Medicine in Renton, Washington.
In her free time, Dr. Calhoun enjoys reading, exercise, baking, walking her two Boston Terriers, and most importantly, enjoying time with her family.
