About Lily Iteld
Dr. Iteld has always enjoyed working with children. After working in a school setting for a couple of years, she realized she wanted to work with kids one-on-one so pursued a graduate degree in school psychology. “My most important role as a provider is to understand and validate the experiences of my patients,” she says. “That foundation of understanding is crucial to helping them make long-lasting changes.”
Many of Dr. Iteld’s patients have chronic conditions, and she approaches them with the understanding that health isn’t based on biology alone – psychological and social factors are always at play. “Patients often feel that they have little control over their symptoms,” she says. “Helping them see that they have the internal resources to influence their symptoms and experiences is incredibly rewarding. I love to see kids transition from feeling powerless to feeling empowered.” Dr. Iteld holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and a doctorate in school psychology from the University of Washington. She completed her internship in the Dallas Independent School District and her fellowship at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She is certified in clinical child and adolescent psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Born and raised in New Orleans, Dr. Iteld is an avid baker and loves a beautiful sunrise.
