Richa Tevatia, MD

Richa Tevatia, MD, is a physician with a specialty in pediatrics. "I chose pediatrics because of the satisfaction I receive from treating a diverse pool of patients while at the same time getting to play and bring smiles to little kids' faces!" she says.

Dr. Tevatia provides care for all types of patients, but especially enjoys treating newborns, medically complex patients and patients with chronic illness, behavior or mental health issues or sports-related injuries. "I enjoy caring for children of all ages in collaboration with their parents," she says.

She strives to offer the highest quality patient care with evidence-based guidelines while keeping herself up to date with medical knowledge. She views her most important role as a physician as listening and communicating effectively with her patients and their parents.

Dr. Tevatia earned her medical degree from Government Medical College in Amritsar, India. She completed her internship and residency at University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga.

Born and raised in India, Dr. Tevatia now lives in Sherwood with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, painting, yoga and traveling with her family. She speaks English and Hindi.
