Asiya Akhgar, DPT

Asiya completed her undergraduate degree at Eastern Washington University double majoring in Athletic Training, and Exercise Science. After graduation she worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer before attending graduate school to earn her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at Pacific University. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Asiya believes in empowering people through movement and exercise. Her goal is to help her patients become as independent as possible; each session should be a learning opportunity. She enjoys working with patients of all physical levels across the ability and life spectrum. Her areas of interest include sports-related injuries especially for rock climbers, weightlifters, and yogis, and vestibular rehabilitation. Outside of her work as a physical therapist, she enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, painting, gardening, and spending time with her husband and cat.
