Dr. Croy is a board-certified orthopedic physician and surgeon. He treats patients with sports and trauma injuries as well as those with general orthopedic problems. Dr. Croy's personalized, collaborative care helps each patient focus on returning to maximum physical function and the activities they love. "Good medicine begins with a good conversation," says Dr. Croy. "It's my experience that patients make good choices when they know their options. It starts by taking time to explain what's going on. Often, surgery is the only solution, but when conservative, non-surgical treatment is an option, it should be a patient's choice."

Prior to joining Providence Medical Group, Dr. Croy directed his own successful private orthopedic practice in Newberg. His work has consistently been known for excellence in care and service. Dr. Croy also served as assistant professor of Orthopedics at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland where he instructed Level 1 Orthopedic Trauma Care.

Dr. Croy is currently a board-certified orthopedic and sports medicine surgeon, and also serves as chair of surgery at Providence Newberg Medical Center, team physician and CAATE Medical Director for George Fox University, and member of Providence Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Croy is also a licenced professional Engineer with a Masters of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Croy welcomes new patients of all ages at his office in scenic Newberg, Oregon.

from the time I entered the emergency room until I almost had to have surgery, on a holiday, I was treated as if I were a VIP. Every person my husband and I came in contact with at Providence and in dr. Cora's office were exceptionally professional and exceptionally nice. I would recommend this facility to anyone without hesitation.

I saw Newberg ER [...] for my injury. Dr Croy was upset that I was not immediately referred to see him and that I had to have my family doctor do the referral almost 2 months later. Dr Croy felt that the time lapse could have caused permanent disfigurement.

Have had previous surgeries in past completed by Dr. Croy. He is the most knowledgeable orthopod I have met or worked with. He is focused, sensitve to his patients needs and expects excellence for all health care providers he works with.

I have some problems with the nurses at times are not as attentive as the doctor and passes off the needs. They are not as caring as the doctor and don't seem knowledgeable about the case and are not so willing to look into problems as much as doctor Croy is. Doctor Croy takes personal interest in my unique case and helps me feel understood unlike several other specialists within Providence.
