About Jennifer S. Muong
Jennifer Muong, D.O., chose family medicine for the continuity of care, and the unique, close bonds and trusting relationships between providers and their patients. She has the opportunity to work with people in a wide range of ages, and diverse backgrounds and cultures who come from different walks of life. “I love connecting with them and helping my patients live their healthiest lives,” Dr. Muong says. “I value the individual partnerships with my patients and I feel very privileged to be a part of their personal journey toward optimal health, which includes not only physical health, but mental, and emotional health.”
In her practice, Dr. Muong emphasizes preventative care, nutrition and weight management, mental health, and partnering with her patients to help them achieve optimal well-being. “I’m an advocate for my patients and provide the guidance and tools they need regarding their health care, while also ensuring they maintain their patient autonomy,” she says. What Dr. Muong most enjoys about being a medical provider is partnering with her patients to assist them in making and achieving their health care goals. “I become a team with my patients and encourage and provide them with the tools to embrace and take control of their health care,” Dr. Muong says, “so that they can thrive and maximize their self-fulfillment in life.” She is excited to get to know each and every one of her patients and feels very privileged to be a part of their personal journey toward optimal health.
Dr. Muong completed her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Oregon and a residency at Trios Health Southridge Hospital in Washington.
Born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon, Dr. Muong is excited to be practicing in her hometown. Whenever she gets the chance, she loves spending quality time with her family and loved ones, and is continuing to find new and stress-relieving activities such as cooking and experimenting with new recipes, practicing yoga at home, enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest trails around town, and simply recharging and being a homebody.
