About Lindsay S. Moore

For Lindsay Moore, PhD, one of her core values is service. Service to others has been a big part of her life since she was a child. From serving in soup kitchens, organizing fundraisers for youth organizations, visiting retirement homes, and serving on committees for veterans and youth, she has always loved being in service to others. “I also love helping people with their health care goals,” Dr. Moore says. “Seeing patients take charge of their wellness is powerful and inspiring.”

Dr. Moore takes a person-centered approach to treatment. She believes that every patient is the expert in their own life and she uses her foundational knowledge of human behavior to fit with each unique patient’s circumstance and life experience. “I work under a Cognitive Behavioral Model of care in which I believe our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions all influence how we see and live in the world,” Dr. Moore explains. She says that her role is to provide her patients with unconditional positive regard and support toward whatever their goals are. “I want patients to feel like I’m their biggest cheerleader while also working to hold them accountable to themselves. I’m continually inspired by patients and their resilience in life’s struggles and am incredibly humbled by their trust in me to help them through some of their most difficult struggles,” she says. For Dr. Moore, her career as a clinical psychologist in primary care is the best of both worlds. She gets to serve patients who might not otherwise ever see a psychologist and help them take back the power in their health and wellness. She also believes that every patient deserves to be treated with respect and validated for their experiences. “I don’t think the world provides us with enough positive reinforcement and I’m happy to be the person who can show someone a new experience.”

After earning her doctorate degree from Seattle Pacific University, Dr. Moore completed an internship through Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System and a residency through Providence Health and Services.

Dr. Moore was born and raised in the Central Valley of California before happily escaping to Seattle for graduate school. She loves the Pacific Northwest, is married, and has four sons, two dogs and a cat. In her free time, she loves to hike with her spouse and her dogs, and for restful relaxation, she reads and enjoys being outdoors.
