Carol L. Mitchell-Springer, MD

Carol Mitchell-Springer, M.D. attended Junior High and High School in Anchorage, where she was part of the first graduating class at Service High School. She left state for about 20 years but returned to Alaska in 1993. Dr. Mitchell-Springer received her Bachelor of Science degree with highest honors from Oregon State University. She then went on to Oregon Health Sciences University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Medical Doctorate. Not long after completing her residency at Oregon Health Sciences, Dr. Mitchell-Springer received her board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the American Urogynecologic Society. Carol Mitchell-Springer, M.D. has been in private practice with Alaska Women’s Health since 1993, specializing in urogynecology and gynecology. She is currently the President of Alaska Women’s Health and is very involved with the administrative and medical side of the practice. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, skiing, reading, and family activities with her husband and son.
