About Barzin Khalili

Dr. Khalili is a board certified allergist and clinical immunologist and the medical director of the Allergy Clinic in Portland, Oregon. He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, before moving to Kansas City at age 4. Dr. Khalili attended medical school at the University of Kansas Medical School where he graduated in the top 10 of his class. He moved to Portland in 2000 where he completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University. During his residency, Dr. Khalili worked with and studied under two internationally recognized experts in the field of allergy and immunology: Emil Bardana, Jr., MD, and Anthony Montanaro, MD. He finished a two-year academic fellowship in Internal Medicine before completing his Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2007. At LSU, Dr. Khalili studied under the direction of Dr. Sami Bahna, an internationally respected authority in allergic diseases with expertise in food allergy. As his fellowship emphasized both pediatric and adult training, Dr. Khalili can care for adults and children of all ages. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Khalili is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He has a number of peer-reviewed publications in influential American and European allergy journals. His published works address multiple issues in the field of allergy, including adverse food reactions, immune deficiency, mold-related diseases, drug allergy, and asthma assessment. He is a member of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. In addition to his professional life, Dr. Khalili enjoys outdoor activities with his wife Jessica and daughters Rachel, Leah, and Katherine. He also enjoys cooking, eating, and everything in between.
