About Matin R. Hemmat

Dr. Hemmat, MD, grew up in the South-Bay and continues to live locally. He is passionate about Addiction Medicine. He places an emphasis on listening and providing honest communication with patients. He believes that treatment for substance use disorders must be tailored to each individual and utilize a multi-disciplinary approach that includes therapy, lifestyle optimization, and pharmacotherapy. He looks forward to the challenge of changing the stigma that our society has placed on "addiction." When not working, he enjoys exercising, golfing, watching FC Barcelona soccer, cooking, and spending time with his wife and son.
