About Kirk L. Weller

"Neurology lives at the boundary of the mind and the body." Kirk Weller, M.D., discovered his passion for neuroscience in high school. "It's amazing that the brain, a mass of a hundred billion cells, can write symphonies, go to the moon, and create the world wide web. It's a worthwhile challenge to figure out," he says.

In his practice, Dr. Weller tries to care for patients in a way he would want to be cared for. It involves a respect for each patient's unique abilities, glories and struggles. "While at times communication feels like a "lost art," focused practice makes a big difference."

Dr. Weller completed his medical degree at the University of Washington in Seattle and an internship at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland. He then went on to finish his residency at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Weller is board certified in neurology.

In his spare time, Dr. Weller enjoys painting, whitewater kayaking, fly fishing and spending time with his wife.
