Leonard Vaughan, MD, DDS

Dr. L. Stephen Vaughan is a Board-Certified Oral Maxillofacial and Implant surgeon and a long-standing member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

After graduating with honors from Howard University College of Dentistry, Dr. Vaughan received his post-graduate training in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Medicine at the University of New York at Buffalo. He was selected for this competitive combined training program that included his completion of medical school and associated honors. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Vaughan completed an additional elective training program in Comprehensive and Advanced Implant Dentistry and Surgery at the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry. Dr. Vaughan currently practices at our state of the art surgical suite in Foothill Ranch, California where he and his family also reside in nearby south Orange County.

Dr. Vaughan understands that the selection of an Oral Surgeon and Dental Implant Surgeon is an extremely important decision for both the surgery patient and the referring dentist. With this in mind, he strives to provide each of his patients with both personalized attention and surgical excellence. For referring dentists, he makes every effort to maintain communication and collaboration from initial consultation to case completion. He is well-versed in the most recent oral surgery and periodontal techniques, including Minimally Invasive Oral Surgery so patients have less swelling, less pain and shorter post-surgical downtime.
