Jessica K. Paxton

Dr. Paxton is passionate about helping others flourish. It’s why she became a psychologist. “I believe we can live full and meaningful lives even in the midst of difficult circumstances,” she says. “It is my greatest joy to support and celebrate with people as they grow and overcome emotional and behavioral challenges.”

In her practice, she says, “I take a thoughtful, collaborative and action-oriented approach to help patients expand their awareness and become more intentional.” She provides evidence-based therapies that recognize the holistic nature of health and the complex interplay between biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors. In her life as well as her work, she adds, “I have a wholehearted respect for the inherent worth and dignity of all people.”

Originally from Tigard, Dr. Paxton is a graduate of Linfield College. She earned her doctorate in psychology from George Fox University, where she also completed her internship through the Providence Medical Group Consortium. She completed her residency with the Providence Medical Group Postdoctoral Residency in Clinical Psychology.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, hiking, and camping with her husband.
