Vineet K. Mehndiratta, DO

Board-certified in both family medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Mehndiratta enjoys working with all kinds of patients to improve their health. “Care is a collaborative effort between the physician and patient,” he says. “My role is to be an advocate for my patients, to educate them, and to help them make informed health decisions.” He takes a patient-centered approach to care, with the understanding that “No single treatment is right for everyone.”

With his sports medicine patients, Dr. Mehndiratta focuses on treating problems at their roots and providing the tools to prevent recurrence. “My goal is to get you back to doing the activities you enjoy in the safest way possible,” he says.

Dr. Mehndiratta grew up in the Portland area and did most of his training in the Pacific Northwest. After earning degrees from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., and the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest in Lebanon, Ore., he completed an internship and residency at Community Health of Central Washington in Yakima, followed by a fellowship at Dignity Health Northridge Sports Medicine in California.

After work, his passion for sports follows him home. “I am an avid sports fan year-round,” he says. In addition, like his wife – also a Providence physician – he enjoys hiking, exploring new cuisines, spending time with their family and “all things Disney.”
