Providence Archives collects, organizes, preserves, and makes available records of enduring and historical value relating to the Sisters of Providence religious community in the west, and Providence Health & Services.

Institutional and corporate records, manuscripts, photographs, audiovisual materials, and artifacts document ministries in education, health care, and social services. Collections date from 1856 to the present and encompass Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, California, as well as El Salvador.

Our online Digital Collections Database is available for browsing and performing advanced searches of our digital collections, which are comprised of digitized resources such as photographs and documents, as well as digital photographs of our artifacts.
