Aleksandr A. Lyakhov, DNP

Aleksandr Lyakhov DNAP, CRNA is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist working at Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC) and Holy Family Hospital (HFH). He began his education at the Washington State University's College of Nursing, obtaining a Bachelor's in Science of Nursing (BSN). He started his career caring for cardiac patients in 2011 at SHMC as registered nurse for two years before transferring to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). After spending four and half years in the cardiac ICU Aleksandr realized he could do more to advance his ability to care for patients and was later accepted into Gonzaga's nurse anesthetist program where he obtained his Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) degree in 2021. He is currently part of a professional team of anesthesia providers that administer high quality anesthesia to patients at both Sacred Heart Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital. Aleksandr is originally from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan but soon after the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics fell apart, his entire family immigrated to the US in 1995 and have lived here since. Outside of work, Aleksandr enjoys hiking and playing musical instruments, particularly the cello.
