About Hyrum F. Durtschi
Dr. Hyrum Durtschi chose to become a family physician because it allows him to interact with everyone from newborn babies to grandparents and to address a variety of medical concerns. He feels privileged to have this opportunity and enjoys helping his patients better understand and treat their illnesses.
One of his primary goals is to provide his patients with the tools they need to take control of their health. "I believe strongly that, with positive lifestyle choices, the body is often able to maintain good health without unnecessary intervention," he says.
After earning his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, he completed his internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
Dr. Durtschi grew up in the Pacific Northwest. After traveling around the world and working on two other continents, he is excited to call Oregon his home once again. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, rain or shine.

Scheduling appointments is difficult due to phone system (can't can get a live voice). Had to schedule my first visit (this one) five months out. Dr. Durtschi was great and very friendly. He got me the medicines I needed quickly. He scheduled follow up actions as necessary.
