About Melissa K. Boucher
Building relationships with her patients is Dr. Boucher’s favorite part of her work. “I strive to treat each patient as I would a family member,” she says, “with honesty, open communication, and a commitment to empowering them to live their healthiest, best life.”
Dr. Boucher provides guidance and advice on wellness, disease prevention and medical issues, while always respecting her patients’ choices regarding their care. Her practice interests range from women’s and LGBTQ health to chronic disease management, mental health, gynecological and contraceptive procedures. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, she also happily offers osteopathic manipulative therapy as a treatment option for acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, migraines/headaches, and many other medical conditions. “I’m also a big proponent of preventive health care,” she says.
After her undergraduate studies at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., Dr. Boucher attended medical school at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lillington, N.C. She completed her internship at HCA Healthcare LewisGale Medical Center in Roanoke, Va., and her residency at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. She also earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Boucher is board certified in family medicine.
In her free time, she pursues a wide variety of interests. On the food front, she enjoys cooking, experimental baking, and trying new restaurants. Some of her favorite outdoor activities are hiking, biking, jogging, and camping with her husband. Other pleasures include curling up on the couch with her cat or miniature dachshund to read or watch a good movie. Traveling and exploring new places and cultures are also high on her list.

Dr Boucher has been a HUGE improvement from my previous provider. She takes the time to listen, provide feedback, provide options for care.
Providence Patient
She did help me to understand what I asked and my concern for future out come . For example, X-ray and my concern about my period and she suggested if I'm worrying about it , she can do blood draw. So I agree to .

I believe that My Chart is a great tool to let your Primary get a feel for up coming appointments. It saves time since appointments are on such a tight sch. And invariably I have forgotten issues that needed attention! I believe knowing the allotted time for each appointments creates a tension to get every issue addressed, Overall Dr Melissa always makes me feel at ease and listens to my needs and explains in layman's vocabulary!! Thank you

This was my first appointment with the provider. I recently moved from out of state and my records are being moved here. I was exceptionally impressed with the provider and the office.
