We are losing Dr. Niehus now.He has been a fantastic doctor and confidante. He will be missed by many.

Dr Niehaus has been my Primary Physician for many years. I love him. Very sad to see his retirement. We shall not see his like again.

I'm 73. One of the key contributors to my excellent health is Dr Niehus' care. I've been very fortunate to have him as my primary care physician.

Always cared about my health and keeping me in good medical health. Easy to talk with and very down to earth. He is retiring and I will miss Dr Niehus.

It has been a great privilege to be in Dr. Niehus's care.

Dr. Niehus will be retiring this December 2025 after many years of providing excellent care and concern on every visit with me since he first started treating me. During our first visit when Dr. Niehus realized he did not have a complete history on me - he had me provide a complete history; ordered testing & breast exam identified that I had cancer. And thanks to Dr. Niehus I was able to treat it immediately and to this day I am still "cancer free." I followed him from each of his office assignments to have the benefit of his medical input. He only broke ONE promise to me and that was "he promised not to retire before I die!" He's retiring and I'm still alive!! LOL He deserves this upcomling retirement; and I will miss him immensely because of his caring manner. I feel blessed to have his care for the time that I did.

I will miss Dr. Niehus since he Is retiring. My wife and I have been seeing him since 1999. He Is a very good provider.

Care provider discussed relevant issues concerning my lab results and answered my questions thoughtfully. He also provided new prescriptions and correct refills needed for the coming year. He discussed options for new physicians since he is retiring at the end of the year. After 26 years - I will miss he but wish him well!

I have been seeing him for about 4 years now. He always knows my history, has practical and doable suggestions for me to support my own health. He refers me for any specialist work. He listens very intently, responds and informs in a supportive way. He's never tense, distracted, judgmental, impatient, hurried or angry.

I'm very comfortable with Dr. Niehus -- he listens to my concerns and addresses them in a way I can easily understand. He also recommended a book on eating a Mediterranean diet that has helped me to lower my A1C and to lose several tens of pounds in the last two years. I'm sorry to lose him to retirement in the coming months.

Dr. Douglas Niehus has been my Primary Care Provide for decades. As his practice moved from Providence facilities at 185th in HIllsboro to Bridgeport to Scholls myself and my spouse chose to follow him and not lose what we considered to be the finest medical care and attention he has always provided. He is a huge asset to the Providence medical community and will be an enormous loss to use as he is now scheduled to retire later this year 2025.

Always runs smoothly from beginning to end. They are friendly and show interest in our concerns on health issues. Refer to needed specialists. And call in orders for lab work or tests with an email concern on a big issue so we know results sooner than later!

My excellent health is in part due to the excellent care I receive from Dr Niehus and also Providence and the specialists at Providence. Dr Niehus will retire later this year. I'll be very fortunate to find another Internal medicine/GP who will be as effective as Dr Niehus has been all through these many years.

Very knowledgeable and intelligent

I've seen Dr Niehus for 4? Years now. He listens carefully to what I'm seeking or observing, then explains his understanding of the situation to me. He explains the nature and reason for any treatment he provides. He brings up conditions relevant to me before I even know of them. He's an extremely helpful able doctor to have as my PCP.

Dr. Niehus was told of a new problem I've been having and he had the new doctors office call the next day and the appointment was booked that day. Dr. Neihus was great.
