Eric Liang, PA-C

Raised by a mom who was a primary care physician, Eric grew up around medicine and was drawn to the way it combined science with caring for others. He started his medical career as a speech-language pathologist, and later went back to school to expand his scope. As a physician assistant, he says, “My most important roles are to help people maintain or improve their health and to serve as a resource in times of medical challenges.”

From preventive care and education to medical assistance for acute and chronic conditions, Eric provides a wide range of care. He enjoys learning about his patients, which helps him provide “whole-person” health care. “Patients are more than a single symptom or lab test,” he says, “and caring for them should take into account the whole individual.”

A graduate of Northwestern University, Eric completed his physician assistant studies at Yale University School of Medicine.

Outside of his work, his interests include music, table tennis, reading and animal welfare. He and his wife have two dogs and enjoy exploring Portland and going to sporting events.
