About Vidang P. Nguyen
During the early years of medical school, Vidang Nguyen, M.D., felt most inspired when caring for patients with advanced heart disease which led to her specialty focus in the field of advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Her commitment and passion for this patient population continues to grow as she keeps a close watch on the advancements of treatments and the longitudinal care needs for heart failure patients. Dr. Nguyen strives to offer a care model for all patients across the wide spectrum of heart failure with a particular interest in transplant cardiology, transplant immunology and patients with adult congenital heart disease. In these highly complex patient populations, she believe a multi-disciplinary approach provides the best care.
Dr. Nguyen attended medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans. As a Seattle native, she was drawn back to the area to complete her additional training at the University of Washington in both internal medicine and general cardiology followed by completion of her heart failure and transplant cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Nguyen is board certified in internal medicine, electrocardiography, and also cardiovascular diseases.
Time spent with friends and family is also important to Dr. Nguyen. Over the past few years, she has ventured into new hobbies of baking and cooking which takes her back to a childhood dream of running her own bakery café.

Dr. Nygen (sp) is warm, welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and offered suggestions which we adopted for my care. She absolutely gave me the time we needed to give me assurances that my heart issues are being well managed and explained some of the nomenclature used in the ECG so I could understand it in context with my medical records. She is an excellent communicator and I appreciate our rapport.
