About Mary Walker (She/Her)
“The breadth and depth of caring for people in all stages of life is truly amazing,” says Mary Walker, certified nurse midwife. “It is an honor to provide genuine care for birthing bodies, newborns, and their families, and to learn about and uphold the sacred space of birth in the hospital setting.”
Mary emphasizes transparent communication and respects the individual choices and perspectives of each person. “Shared decision making and trauma-informed care guide my approach to every interaction. I believe each individual is the expert of their own body,” says Mary. “I support and inform folks so they are confident in making choices about their health and wellbeing. Please feel free to ask questions and ask for the care you desire! I welcome feedback and requests that create a safe and smooth experience for you.” Outside of midwifery, Mary spends time with her husband and two black pugs. She tends to her ever-changing and growing garden, enjoys hiking and neighborhood walks, meditating, reading, resting, and connecting with friends, family and nature. She is interested in trauma healing and social justice.
