About Michael M. Marvi
Michael M. Marvi, MD, MS, is a board-certified neurologist. He obtained his fellowship training in movement disorders and his master’s degree in neurobiology at the University of Southern California. He also attended medical school at Sackler School of Medicine/Tel Aviv University and completed his medical internship and neurology residency at Kaiser-Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
Dr. Marvi practices general neurology and is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and tic disorders. In addition to conventional medical therapeutics, he is also experienced in deep brain stimulation (DBS) programming and the administration of botulinum toxin injections and nerve blocks for challenging movement disorders and headache conditions. Dr. Marvi is a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (CIC) for the assessment, management, and clearance of athletes with sports related head injuries, and maintains a separate focus on the treatment of acute stroke using tele-health technologies for thrombolytic therapy.
Dr. Marvi is an attending physician on staff at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, and a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Los Angeles Neurological Society, and the Los Angeles Stroke Association. He regularly provides community and medical staff educational lectures, and strives to communicate effectively with his patients regarding complex neurological conditions, advanced diagnostic tests, and evidence-based medical therapies.
