About Kirstin R. Johnson
Kirstin is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. After graduating from Eastern Washington University in 1996 with her bachelor of science in nursing, she spent eleven years caring for families in the hospital in labor and delivery, high risk antepartum, and maternity. While she actively raised her two sons, she transitioned to the neonatal intensive care at Providence and spent eight years caring for fragile neonates and their families. She returned to graduate school at Oregon Health & Science University and graduated in 2015 with a Master of Nursing. She spent nine years serving patient at a local community health clinic, caring for pregnant people and providing routine gynecological services to people of all gender identities. Her clinical specialties have included substance use disorder, perinatal mental health, polycystic ovarian syndrome, gender affirming hormone therapy, perimenopause/menopause hormone therapy, and the interplay between the neurotransmitters and the endocrine hormones. With thirty years of experience caring for patients and their families, Kirstin understands that you are more than a diagnosis. You are a beautiful human with a life outside of the healthcare challenges which bring you to the clinic. As an advanced practice nurse, she offers holistic care of the human within the specialized branch of medicine called Endocrinology. Practicing evidence based medicine, her goal is to help you live your best life in this season and ease your way into the next season. Outside of healthcare, Kirstin enjoys walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, creating pottery, Rosemaling painting, bobbin lace, miniature doll houses, Mah Jong, Bunco, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Providence Patient
Kristin was very pleasant, engaging and focused on my care.
Providence Patient
Not professional. After mentioning my mult-nodular goiter she asked me a couple times if I ever had any symptoms of anxiety, or shaky hands. I told her no. She seemed a bit in disbelief and told me women even sometimes experience psychosis. She was intent on telling me worst case scenario for everything we talked about. I didn't feel like she was an authority in her field. More like someone geeking out about a subject she was really into, excited to have actual people to work with. I would rather not go back to her and see someone else
