Heather D. Mai-Roecker, ARNP

My passion for Occupational Medicine developed because I have a strong background in caring for people who have musculoskeletal injuries. This background led me to the Occupational Medicine specialty as it primarily deals with people who are injured on the job. This focus allows me to care for people who have had employment injuries as well as performing pre-employment physicals and DOT exams. By using evidence-based treatments I can help the patient get back to work quicker. I became a medical provider because as a child I had the privilege of taking care of an ailing grandparent, which helped create my passion for helping people in their time of need. As a provider I enjoy being part of the healing process and seeing my patients go from being injured and hurt to returning back to work. I believe strongly in being an advocate for patients and families. I was born and raised in Northeast Iowa and moved to the area in the summer of 2022. I enjoy hiking, exploring waterfalls and mountains, and being outdoors with my family. My two boys keep me pretty busy, but in my free time I enjoy reading, crafting, journaling, and exercising.
