Sarah Dunaway, MS, SLP

Sarah has worked with children with complex communication needs since 2007, serving in a variety of roles before returning to school to become a speech pathologist. Her passion is empowering children to communicate the things they value, using whichever method of communication they prefer. Prior to joining PCDI, Sarah spent 5 years working at Wheatley School in Portland, Oregon, a specialized public school for children with significant communication challenges. A lot of her practice is dedicated to helping children learn to use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, such as tablets that children can use to speak. A native of Ithaca, NY, Sarah has lived in Portland since 2013 and loves hiking, running, and trying new restaurants.
