Genevieve Buser, M.D., entered the field of medicine because it's a combination of art and science. "I chose the specialty of infectious disease because it resonates with my dual interests of public health and clinical medicine," she said.
In her practice, Dr. Buser emphasizes caring for the entire person, not just their current condition. "It's important for me to identify and treat an illness, and then translate this to the patient in a manner they can understand," she says. "I try and learn from each patient and help them prevent the illness in the future."
Dr. Buser earned her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She then completed her internship and chief residency at Children's Hospital of Orange County in California. Dr. Buser is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric infectious disease.
Dr. Buser has been fortunate to travel and meet amazing people around the world, but is always excited to return to Oregon. In her free time, Dr. Buser enjoys cooking, swing dancing and birdwatching. She is fluent in French.
