Our Chemical Dependency Program includes a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services that are designed to treat patients holistically and to help them successfully develop a path to recovery.
We make sure to provide every opportunity for our patients to succeed to live a sober life. This means taking a personal interest in the health of each of our chemically dependent patients. We’re dedicated to helping each patient and their loved ones understand the complexities of addiction and how to effectively manage it.
We understand how much of a battle it can be to recover from addiction, which is why Mission Hospital provides comprehensive and ongoing care. Our other programs include 12-step groups, partial hospitalization, continuing care and intensive outpatient treatment.
Backed by proven research and evidence-based treatments, we start the healing and recovery process the moment a patient walks through our doors.
During this structured time of education, therapeutic counseling, and support, the patient will be immersed in a variety of individual groups in addition to having counseling sessions twice a week with their assigned therapist.
Every patient is backed by a personalized counseling team that advocates for them and provides a personalized blend of services. In order to provide this best-in-class treatment and maximize that chance at an optimal recovery, our recovery center is staffed with:
- Board-certified addiction medicine physicians
- Licensed counselors
- Spiritual care professionals
- Marriage and family therapists
Our inpatient program, also known as the Core Treatment program, consists of primary groups, specialty groups, individual therapy sessions and an educational recovery series, all of which are offered in daily small groups.
Upon admission, each patient is provided an individualized care program that addresses their needs. With additional services for patients and their families, treatment may include the following:
- Medically Supervised Detoxification
- Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Programs
- Partial Day Treatment
- Group Therapy
- 12-Step Groups
- Family Therapy
- Spirituality Groups
- Specialized Chronic Pain Services
- Addiction Education
- Nutrition Education
- Physical and Recreation Therapy
- Alternative Pain Therapies (acupuncture, yoga, meditation, and massage therapy)
Admission to our inpatient program is based upon a comprehensive assessment which evaluates all aspects of the patient's life, including social, relational, psychological, and substance use.

Once treatment is complete, we invite graduates to join our Alumni Group. Currently meetings are held every Wednesday, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Each meeting typically draws attendees ranging from newly sober patients to former patients with 15 or more years of sobriety. As part of the Alumni Group, graduates can maintain close friendships with peers and learn about additional 12-Step and social activities. The Alumni Group hosts a variety of events, including an annual Christmas party and a summer barbecue. Through the Alumni Group, graduates can also choose to become a sponsor to a current patient undergoing treatment.
