Join Team Hospice in our 26th year of participation in the Human Race!

This community Walk/Run is set for Saturday, May 6th. Start at Herbert Slater Middle School and wind through beautiful Howarth Park. End back at the School for a Non-Profit Marketplace, and learn about the wonderful programs in our community. The event is open to everyone...all ages, all abilities!

Team Hospice - Hospice Services of St. Joseph Health - will raise funds to support our Hospice Dignity Fund.

Did you know that many families can't pay for mortuary services for their loved one? Many of our Hospice patients live in extreme poverty with very little financial, social or emotional resources - and often times their families find themselves unable to pay for mortuary services. Initiated in 2015, the Hospice Dignity Fund gives Hospice Services of St. Joseph Health the opportunity to further support these patients and their families, by granting a small portion of funeral or mortuary costs - with the purpose of allowing them to bury their loved one with dignity. We can only contribute a portion of mortuary costs, with the remainder being met by family and friends etc. Our goal of $10,000 would allow us to assist 15 to 25 of our most vulnerable patients and their families.

Help us raise $10,000 this year!
Here is how you can get involved.

Ask your friends and family to make a pledge - a tax-deductible donation. Any amount is appreciated!
**Please note that you are not required to attend the event to collect donations for our hospice programs.**

Or print out a pledge form, collect pledges and turn donations in to Hospice.

Create a memory ribbon in honor of your loved one.
With a gift of $25, you can personalize a memory ribbon in honor or memory of your loved one. You can carry your ribbon on race day, or have a volunteer carry it on your behalf. Your ribbon is yours to keep.

We encourage anyone who has donated or gathered pledges for Team Hospice to walk with us on Race Day. Meet at our Booth on the Slater Middle School blacktop - or playground - between 6:30 - 7:30am. The Race will begin at 8am, starting with the timed runners, followed by the walkers. You can also pick up your Memory Ribbons at this time. You can find parking around the school, or shuttles are available before and after the race from the Montgomery Village parking lot.

Please do not bring donations on race day. You can turn your donation(s) in to Memorial Hospice at 439 College Ave., Santa Rosa or to The Volunteer Center.
