Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center provides cancer services for most cancers, including:
Our cancer team is comprised of both surgeons and medical and radiation oncologists. In order to make sure that each patient receives the most comprehensive and highest quality care possible, these physicians work alongside nutritionists, case managers, social workers, rehabilitation experts and physical therapists.
Working together to provide high quality medicine, exceptional individual care and the best possible outcomes, our inpatient cancer unit is also staffed by compassionate nurses certified by the Oncological Nursing Society (ONS). Their years of experience in treating cancer patients helps them provide unmatched care and advocacy for cancer patients and their loved ones.
Along with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center offers a full spectrum of cancer support services and treatment for each patient’s individual cancer needs. These services include:
- Robotic surgery
- Breast reconstruction
- Ablation therapy
- Lymphedema treatment
- Systemic therapies
- Palliative care
- Spiritual care
Our infusion centers are professional yet warm places, where patients can receive intravenous infusions and blood transfusions, as well as chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, steroids, and immunoglobulin. All infusions are administered by our medical staff of physicians and nurses, who also monitor each patient individually to make sure they are responding well to treatment.
Our full range of radiation treatment options provide state-of-the-art therapies for our patients. Like our cancer care, radiation oncology care is provided in an interdisciplinary setting, with close consultation among each patient's oncologist, surgeon, pathologist and radiation oncologist. Together, they determine the best individualized treatment and closely monitor each patient’s progress.
