Do I have to be an existing Providence or Heritage Medical Group patient to see a Virtual Health 360 physician?
Do I need any special equipment or software?
For a virtual visit, you will need:
- Mobile device or desktop computer with video a camera, microphone, speakers and internet access
- Zoom Cloud Meetings app downloaded and installed

Are virtual visits secure?
Yes, Providence has a dedicated, secure portal for patient visits through Zoom. Enhanced security measures include encryption, meeting IDs and visit “verification” to ensure your virtual visit is private and secure. Providers are assigned unique passwords and waiting rooms. This ensures that only the provider and you will be admitted to your visit. In addition, any information transmitted is secure and treated the same way it would be if you were meeting with the doctor in person. Your virtual visit is not recorded.
Does insurance cover the cost of virtual visits?
Virtual visits are covered by most health plans and are also covered by Medicare during the COVID-19 public health emergency. Standard applicable insurance copayments and deductibles will apply. View accepted plans
Can I get a prescription online?
Yes. Providence virtual care providers can prescribe medications as part of your treatment plan. We’ll electronically send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
Please note that most of our virtual care providers cannot prescribe pain medications or controlled substances.
