This visit was scheduled six months ago. As usual, Dr Vera listened carefully to my reports, questions and concerns, he discussed them, explained his reasoning and we agreed on a plan. When I left his office I felt it was a very worthwhile visit. I didn't feel rushed, dismissed or ignored. He took a few seconds to inquire about my family (we are all his patients) which made me feel more than just a medical record number.

I'm grateful Dr. Vera wants to schedule routine visits because otherwise I would not be able to schedule a visit in a timely fashion given how busy he is. As always, he discussed my concerns and demonstrated he knew ME not just my labs. He looked me in the eyes when talking to me, I was the patient, not the computer.
