Katie Walker, PA-C

Katie Walker is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in general cardiology and heart failure. She is originally from Kentucky but spent 15 years in the greater Seattle area before moving to Missoula. Prior to PA school, Katie worked in an advanced cardiac support clinic, which cultivated her passion for cardiovascular medicine. She also spent several years in patient and family education, which strengthened her commitment to improving health literacy and advancing health equity. Katie completed her medical training at the University of Washington, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and care for rural and underserved populations. Her clinical interests include mechanical circulatory support devices, cardiac amyloidosis, and post-MI care pathways.

Katie’s care philosophy is grounded in empathy: she meets people where they are and builds trust through clear communication and genuine partnership. She always tries to connect complex medical concepts to patients’ everyday realities, and she truly believes that compassionate, patient-centered care can change lives. Katie is committed to expanding access to high-quality care for all patients, regardless of their demographic, geography, or circumstance. She is also an advocate for systemic improvements and she empowers patients and communities to take agency over their health. Ultimately, Katie wants to be remembered not only for the care she delivered, but for the humanity she brought to it.
