I really like Dr G & my parents are patients as well and they like her too! She's always a pleasure to see & meet with & the staff is very pleasant & all is orderly. My only wish is for a few more minutes to answer additional questions. She always asks if I have any & I try to remember to address them all. I think the time allotted maybe just a little short. Doctor, do you listen to me with my concerns about my skin condition. She further did a physical exam on me and found a suspicious mole. She did a mole biopsy and then called me with the results personally. I am so impressed with her level of professionalism and care.

In the past I have co-owned a private medical practice with three locations. My business partner was an MD. We were fortunate to have a successful practice until we retired and sold the practice.That said, I have a different perspective of a medical practice experience. When Dr. Tharp and I started the practice, opened our first location in Monarch Beach, our commitment was to provide the best, professional care and above all, customer service oriented. Each patient was a person, not just a chart number. We stacked hands to never hand an algorithm like some, 8 minutes to do a history, diagnosis and treatment. It took some extra time on our part, but the feedback from our patients was overwhelmingly positive.I only shared that with you to Illuminate the weight of my feedback on my personal experience at one of your offices. Dr. Gunawardane is beyond amazing! She has the ability to make a patient feel like they are the only patient In the office. Her ability to remember specific details about you, when It's been 6 months and you've only seen her maybe three or four times makes you feel like you're not just a name/patient number on chart but one of her patients she cares about. Her Interpersonal skills, compassion and level of a caring medical professional are remarkable.She spends enough time with you to hear you, and then fully explains what she's looking for and what she plans to do. I found this group when I needed a Dermotologist for a horrible skin irritation I was having. I was lucky enough to get Dr G as my physician and she could see me in a very reasonable time. She was so pleasant and understanding. After her original treatment didn't work, she had her office schedule me for a biopsy. She knew I was nervous about the procedure and made me completely comfortable with the process.

Ti actually had an upcoming visit at the end of the month but was concerned about a cyst that returned after 17 years and it bothered me because it hurt and was different colors and was by a dark spot on my back so this provider seen me right away to access the situation and I was very happy she did.
