D Randolph 'Randy' R. Jones, MD

I am told to call him anytime I have a concern. How could that be better?

This was my first visit with Dr Randolph Jones as I'm fairly new to Portland and looking to establish a relationship for a medical condition. It was also my first experience with Providence. I was very impressed with everyone I encountered from scheduling to checkin to the nurse practitioner. Dr Jones was incredibly thorough and "present" with me. No rush. He really made an effort to get to know me and explain some reports I had brought with me. I felt he was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable that all my questions were answered. Overall, an excellent experience.

Dr. Jones remembered me from 2019 when he saw me after my bypass procedure. This visit was a referral from my regular cardiologist about possible further treatment for AFIB. After consulting with Dr Jones we decided that medication rather than any procedures was the safest choice for me at my age.

Dr. Jones speaks to me to my understanding. All my questions were answered without "medicalese" It was obvious he wanted to make sure I understand what is going on with my heart. I so appreciate that. He makes eye contact and listens. He did the same procedure for a friend of mine who says he's the best there is.

The Dr gave me a lot information after I got home couldn't remember all of it. Called back the next morning with my concerns. They called me back in 45 minutes and told me what I needed to know. Exactly responding to my concerns.

Providence has a good emergency room with the best care. The doctors are all great dr.s

Dr. Jones was very personable, informative and thoroughly invested in my health condition. He informed me about potential treatment I might possibly need, as well as a specific test the wants me to have in a year.

Everyone at the clinic ws wonderful. The scheduling of an appointment to get in to see them was easy and well done but waiting three months after receiving a diagnosis for a heart condition was not fun. I get it. A shortage of cardiologists.

Dr. Jones is a trusted advisor on my future treatments and procedures to control my atrial fibrillation.

First time meeting care provider. Slightly "aloof" but through and appears and sounds competent.

I have 3 heart specialists and several heart PAs. They are all superb, knowledgeable and proficient .

Dr. Jones is the absolute best.he Is bright, keeps up with health research and advises based on science Instead of the Idiots following brain dead's RfK and his minions. A warm and caring professional is a Rare event in health care today. He not only "sees" his patients; he asks questions that shows he has reviewed their files, has thought about next steps, If any, and makes patients feel good about his recommendations. I can best sum this up by saying that In a health emergency related to cardiovascular Issues, he Is in the doctor I would want at my bedside..I hope all of the strikes and other "stuff" within Providence doesn't cause him to ever think about leavingHe Is a rare "gem" In the healthcare field and you should do everything possible to keep him in the Providence system For the rest of his professional life and to help him provide the type of outstanding health care that he routinely provides!
