These survey answers are about Lisa Enger, and this particular appointment which happened promptly, after some My Chart questions and information that I posted. Lisa is part of a team. She has been my hero in actually listening to me, and trying to explain my complex atrial fibrillation reality. I have many questions that help me understand the consequences of the choices being made for the care of my AF. She has respected my questions and gone out of her way to give me the time needed to get my questions answered. This is not true about the overall system at Providence Heart Rhythm where from a patient experience I often feel that I am part of a formula that goes along it's standard path with no consideration of the individuality of each patient, or patient priorities, I am often given a plan of action without alternatives or the Information I need to feel a knowledgeable part of the decision making process. This appointment happened promptly and at the Initiation of the team after reading a MyChart entry from me. Generally appointments seem to be about availability In the system, and not about the time concerns of the patient or progression of the disease. Appointments are often weeks, or months away when the message In general literature Is "time is of the essence" in stopping the progression and possible irreversibility of the AF. Lisa Enger is the primary member of the team that has heard my particular concerns, and treated me with respect and as an individual. I value her care.
Providence Patient
To my knowledge, the provider had all the necessary information she needed from records submitted by my primary care physician. I received the same information from her as I did from him. I had only seen her once before and understood she wanted me to be seen by her, but felt it was unnecessary since the information she had had already been given me by my primary care doctor. The provider was pleasant, listened and wanted an appointment in a year (hopefully in person).
