Provider thought I was there because of episode of blank staring and not responding. This was erroneous. Balance issues and severe speech slurring was the reason for the appointment. After clearing that up, we were on the same page. Pleased with the appointment.

Dr. Powell is one of the BEST, (my favorite) doctor I've ever had. He is very personable, empathetic, and highly competent. I always enjoy seeing him and I trust him completely with my medication and treatments.

Dr. Powell was easily the best provider I have seen for my epilepsy. It was my first visit and he took the time to get to know me, had already looked over my medical history, and explained his concerns about my EEG in a way I could understand. No one had ever showed me what my EEG actually means. He was not rushed, easy to talk to, and answered all my questions. I have just moved over to the adult side of treatment and I am so thankful to have been referred to him.

Re Dr. Powell: I liked meeting & being consulted with my health issues & concerns. He was respectful, patient with explaining how the brain reacts & functions to various neurological disorders, I felt & believe that Dr. Powell really cares & has concerns for his patients & desires to try to improve his patients quality of life. I honestly think, believe & hope that Providence Health & Services does realize & get a grip on reality that Providence seriously should find another qualified good Epilepsy Dr with somewhere near the equivalence of Dr. Powell. Dr. Powell is booked out in advance as far as the min of 6 months out! Six months truly is a long wait for a patient to be able to be consulted about their finding out that their EEG test results show neurological activity & they've Epilepsy & are required I re to start taking antiseisure medication. I had EEG done in Mar 2025, my primary physician immediately prescribed me antiseizure medication. The first available I was able to make was 3xmonrhs later. Which I believe was done so quickly due to my pending having spine /neck surgery on vertabraes #3, 4 & 5 by a Providence Neurosurgeon l. I sincerely feel comfortable with Dr Powell being my Epileptic Dr -:I hope & pray if God forbid I have a bad seizure &:possibly require his medical assistance that he'll be available to assist me,without a lengthly wait!
