About Kerani A. Tracy
Kerani Tracy, MD, decided to become a medical provider because she cherishes connecting with people. “I chose family medicine as a specialty because I believe in the power of primary care on an individual and public health level. It keeps me on my toes (every day is different!) and it offers a space where I can grow my relationships with people and families over years and across generations,” Dr. Tracy says.
In her practice, Dr. Tracy uses evidence-based medicine as a tool in her partnerships and individualizes decisions based on what makes the most sense for her patients. She feels that her role as a provider is to listen to her patients and understand what they care about so she can use her experience and knowledge base to offer guidance that’s genuinely valuable to them. “I get so jazzed when people are motivated to grow and change,” she says. “And I love learning from people who have vastly different experiences and worldviews from me.” She is grateful for the breadth of family medicine – from obstetrics and newborn care to chronic disease management and end-of-life conversations. “I love sharing in the whole kaleidoscope of human experience,” Dr. Tracy says. She’s a big believer in preventive medicine and caring for the mind and body. “I want to be your partner in embracing the habits that keep chronic disease at bay, but I also get that life is stressful, and change in hard and takes time.” Dr. Tracy strives to meet people where they are and with patience. She adds that, “In medicine, we have the opportunity to share in and support others during some of the most joyful, vulnerable, and challenging moments in life. What a privilege that is.”
After earning her medical degree from Brown University in Rhode Island, Dr. Tracy completed an internship and residence at PeaceHealth Family Medicine of Southwest Washington.
Although she was born and raised in the Southwest, Dr. Tracy is enamored with the Pacific Northwest and all the beauty, green, and rain it has to offer. In her free time, she loves adventuring outdoors with her partner, watching clever musicals, eating burritos, practicing yoga, minimizing waste, and viewing waterfowl.

I'm really happy with Dr. Tracy as my primary provider! She's thoughtful, caring, friendly, and takes the time to listen and respond to my concerns without making me feel rushed. She had already reviewed my health history, and was very thorough in going over details, plus had good suggestions for things that could help.
