Nicholas H. Flickinger, DO

Dr. Flickinger is a Family Medicine/OMT/Obstetrician. He completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012 and Family Medicine residency at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency program. After completing residency, he has practiced full spectrum rural Family Medicine (including surgical obstetrics) in Bethel, Alaska, as a Hospitalist, as a Hospice Medical Director, and as a locums in Valdez, Alaska. Dr. Flickinger provides Osteopathic Manipulative Thearpy and whole person care (body, mind, and spirit) to pregnant, infant, newborn, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. His professional passions include whole person care, narrative medicine, rural healthcare, Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, Obstetrics, evidence-based medicine, hospital based medicine, end of life care, and medical education (building shame resilience and creating a culture of learning/belonging). Outside of medicine, Dr. Flickinger enjoys exploring all Alaska has to offer through camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, hunting, and biking with his wife, three children, and two dogs.
