Dr Shin was extremely helpful and answered any questions - I would highly recommend him to others

I saw Brian Shin because my primary had retired (Dr. Huston). The previous 3 weeks I had spent at Saddleback Hospital so Dr. Shin did not have access to that information. He listened carefully to my wife and I as we described the entire 3 weeks spent in Saddleback.

Visit for my annual physical... I had seen Dr. Houston for about 40 year..This was my first visit with Dr. Shin , I was well pleased..

Dr Shin was nice but this was my second visit with him and it was rushed again. He does not know my medicsl history including my diet (no meat). He was explaining my lab result which showed pre diabetic telling me I should eat more meat. He wanted to give me a prescription to lower A1c rather than modify diet to eat less sugar/carbs. Rushed calls did not allow time to discuss options

I have spoken with your staff three time regarding my visit with Dr. Shin. Front office was great, nurse was great, but Dr. Shin was a bad experience. He was rushed and seemed as though he just wanted to get to the next patient. He said the nurse took too long (not true) and we only had 12 minutes left. I experienced a focal point seizure while my blood work was being taken. He met with me after and told me that it wasn't a seizure, did not look at my elevated blood pressure or have me rest and take my blood pressure again to assure I was ok. I wrote him a message on mychart that I now see is now gone. He said he forwarded it to staff. Please read his response. I called the first time after the appointment to see what he thought I had since he believed it was not a seizure and I needed what my blood pressure was the second time they took it so I could tell my neurologist. According to the staff, Dr. Shin said that If I needed follow up to call 911 or go to urgent care. The second time staff called me Dr. Shin said he doesn't give out his personal number. I never would ask a doctor to do that. I think it was an excuse or a way out from responding. In his follow-up message on mychart, he said if I have any questions to make another appointment and it can be with with another provider. He also said that he cant make calls from the office during work hours. I do have some questions about my blood work I would like to have answered. I would prefer not to have Dr. Shin do my follow up care.

Doctor didn't aSk me how I was feeling or if I had any current medical issues that he needed to be aware of or that I was concerned with. Just seemed to want to go through a pre-set list of questions and check list.

My previous doctor retired so this was my first experience with this new doctor.

I've been a patient at this location since it originally opened about 30 years ago. It's now becoming increasingly difficult to get an appointment with your primary care doctor. They are 6 months out for physical visits etc. You can get in sooner if you sign up for a concierge service! I feel that is too much for most people. Other than that the service you do get there is very good.

My provider was Dr. Susan Lee and has been for several years. It has been difficult to schedule any appointments with her. I needed a physical exam done for my employer. I asked to for an appointment with any doctor for the soonest available date. I was assigned Dr. Shin and I am glad that I did. He was within my age group and I feel like he was able to relate to my medical issues. He was personable and informative about what I asked him about. I feel like what he recommended was life changing for me. After I left the room, I saw the receptionist at the front desk to schedule a lab blood draw. Because I was happy with Dr. Shin, I asked to be reassigned to him as my primary provider.

He was very good. Professional and friendly. This visit was a pre op visit. Will be having knee surgery on July [Date] Surgeon wanted clearance from Dr. Shin for surgery.

Dr. Shin made me feel safe and comfortable discussing my medical stuff. I can tell he actually cares about his patients and I'm so glad I found him. My husband also has Dr Shin as his primary physician and he also loves him!

It dose not seem that anyone cares about the patients or clients, 3 girls in the front and 5 in the back just talking and doing nothing much, Dr seemed that he wants to fill his hours and get rid of you, he did not even do the physical exam, all he did was reading a list of questions and recording it. He finally agreed to do a physical exam but like he was forced to do it, I have never seen such examination, He seemed that he was avoiding to tough the patient, he said we don't have time for it and when he did it it took only 3 to 5 minuts. I am not going back there anymore and will find a new pcp who cares about his important profession.

Saw Dr. Shin as Dr. Huston retired. Dr. Shin was a calm, kind, intelligent man. Liked his demeanor and he walked me out to the waiting room at the end of my visit.

This provider is new to me as I am new to this area. I was very impressed with the fact that you had all my previous records and started from that point. I needed an approval for my prescription for blood pressure, also had extreme pain in my leg and foot, also needed a referral for therapy to help me keep my balance to prevent falls.
