Michael J. Valencia, DO

Dr. Valencia is a board-certified Family Medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care through a holistic approach. He believes in treating the whole person by considering each patient's physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. After earning his undergraduate degree from Baylor University, Dr. Valencia attended the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM), where he received training in the osteopathic principles of holistic medicine, the body's innate capacity for self-healing, and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). He completed his Family Medicine residency at the Hawaiʻi Island Family Medicine Residency Program (HIFMR) in Hilo, Hawaiʻi. Throughout his training, Dr. Valencia was a strong advocate for physician wellness and resilience. Recognized by his peers for his leadership, he was elected Wellness Chief Resident, where he developed and implemented wellness initiatives designed to support resident well-being and foster a culture of connection and balance. He remains committed to promoting preventive care, empowering patients through shared decision-making, and building long-term relationships supporting lifelong health.
