About Daina A. Danovitch
It was a natural choice for Dr. Danovitch to go into medicine. Her grandmother was a general practitioner and her mother is a pediatrician, making her a third generation female physician. Dr. Danovitch grew up helping both physicians in their offices and rounding in the hospital with them. Her close relationship with her grandmother influenced her choice to specialize in geriatrics, in addition to family medicine. The aspect of practicing medicine that Dr. Danovitch loves most is learning from her patients' life experiences. Her favorite vacation is going home to Chicago where she grew up, spending time with her parents and five siblings. In her spare time, Dr. Danovitch likes to hike, especially the Westridge trail leading to San Vicente Mountain. She also enjoys cooking and is working on incorporating more of the Mediterranean diet into family meals. Her signature dish is teriyaki salmon steamed in foil and served with sesame cabbage---a healthy dish her kids love.

Providence Patient
I was mentioning that I felt very tired lately and it might be necessary to look at the iron level in my blood. The doctor didn't get back to my question.I felt a little awkward because I had been waiting in the exams room for 30 minutes and wanted to reschedule the visit. I was a little upset about the wait and let the staff know. She then came when I was about to leave. But I felt she didn't ask all the questions about the colonoscopy for example and the migraine I'm dealing with that should be also in my records. I want to say that I know the doctor for years now and this incident might be only be an exception and because of me being a little upset and feeling awkward about the entire visit I forgot to ask the questions she should have e asked me.
