About Dustin C. Cheney
Dustin Cheney, D.O., felt drawn to family medicine since early high school. “I thoroughly enjoy working with people and the excitement of fixing new problems,” he says.
In his practice, Dr. Cheney strongly emphasizes making the patient’s medical goals the number one priority and considers his most important role as a provider to be an advisor. “I take time to explain what’s going on and different options that are available,” he says. There are many parts of working as a family practice doctor that he likes, but what Dr. Cheney enjoys most is watching patients achieve their health goals. “My philosophy of care is to empower patients. I keep things simple and offer recommendations, but the patient is the captain of their ship.” Dr. Cheney says “there are no bad questions” and is open to answering them, whether they’re concerned about an article they’ve read or unsure about a diet.
Dr. Cheney earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Science in Oregon and completed his osteopathic residency at Sollus Family Medicine Northwest in Washington.
Born and raised in Southern Oregon, Dr. Cheney has lived in Oregon and Washington most of his life. In his spare time, he likes to listen to audiobooks, garden, cook, and try new hobbies.

Dr Cheney is by far the best provider and doctor I've had in 30 years. He truly cares about his patience and I thank God for him. And now he has to do what his bosses are telling him and this is going to ruined my quality of life that I've gotten because of Dr Cheney. No explanation no help no instructions. They're taking some of my pain meds away and there's no good reason. I think Providence for Dr Chaney and giving me at least a year and a half of avery good quality of life. I know he has to do what they tell him. I'm very grateful for all he's done. My trust level with Dr Cheney is 100%.

Dr. Cheney is a great provider and I'm glad he's my PCP, I just wish it wasn't so difficult to book him. It's unreasonable to have to wait months just to be seen, even if it's for something non urgent. One month sure for non urgent but not months, this should be in weeks at the latest.
