As I met for the first time with Dr VV; I was very comfortable with her. As a gynecologist, she allowed me to speak freely, asked questions that are hard to ask and answer; VV moved me forward in my care for the future. I expressed my gratitude to her because gyn is very hard to manage in my life. SHE provided better than ever care. The staff at the post visit were able to schedule appointments that will make sure I am staying on target.

Dr. Vanderpool reviewed recent Xray's ordered by my primary doctor that were taken due to worsening abdominal pain. I've had issues with my stomach and digestion since an endoscopy indicated I have a hiatal hernia in 2023. The Xray's show a large amount of stool in my colon that I now know is likely the result of supplements taken to manage symptoms from the hiatal hernia. The hiatal hernia caused me extreme discomfort and took a toll on my mental health as there was about 6 months of not being able to eat and losing weight after following recommendations by a gastroenterologist to take medications. I got significantly worse and had new symptoms on these medications. Upon looking at the X-rays, Dr Vanderpool was amused, smiled and chuckled about the condition of my colon. I doubt it would be so amusing if it was another body part in such dysfunction, or if she experienced years of stomach pain herself. I immediately felt embarrassed, sad and like my body was significantly abnormal. I mentioned to her that I didn't think it was a laughing matter and she followed by apologizing, but my level of comfort and ease with her was affected greatly. For this type of provider, I need extreme comfort and the feeling that any abnormal findings will be relayed to me in a respectful manner. She continued to recommend addition steps, such as another appointment for a pelvic exam. Upon further reflection, I realized I did not want to see her again and that I would need to find another provider. I left the appointment feeling overwhelmed by another problem and truly disappointed in her initial attitude about the Xray's. For people who've had long term health issues, this is the kind of reaction that deters them from trusting and reaching out to Doctors.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Providence Women's Clinic Progress Ridge. I found the clinic through my insurance portal and had no idea which provider to consider. I took the first appointment available with Dr. Vaderpool and I am so glad that was the case! She is a fantastic doctor. I have some medical knowledge myself and came armed with a number of questions. There was never a moment where I felt that she was frustrated or done with my questions. This sounds ridiculous but I literally called my best friend to let her know my experience afterwards because it was so good.

Dr. Vanderpool is a very caring and highly competent doctor. I came in for one issue, but ended up opening up to her about trauma. I felt heard and she told me that she wanted to help me. A genuinely kind doctor. I would recommend her to anyone.

I see Dr Vanderpool for my yearly check up. She a great communicator, skilled & knowledgable, and I know I'm receiving excellent medical care.

Then website shows many in her office as accepting new patients but that is not the case as they do not have patients for normal yearly checks- Vanessa was great in still ordering some tests as I try and find a doctor taking new patients

Just met & love Dr. Vanderpool, and my PCP/team! I was delighted by how much time she took to thoroughly examine me. After talking, she remembered all the things we discussed that were needed. I felt seen and heard!The wait time in the lobby, then exam room ran closer to 30 min. Yet, I realize that the patient before me, and before her, probably received the same amount of time Dr. Vanderpool gave me. That's refreshing!!!
