About Nate S. Brown
Nathaniel "Nate" Brown, FNP-C, has proudly served patients at Providence Central Point Family Medicine for over 10 years and looks forward to continuing to care for individuals and families in the community for many years to come. As a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of advanced practice experience, Nate is passionate about building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles through preventive care, education, and evidence-based treatment. Nate has a special interest in diabetes management, obesity medicine, cardiovascular health, and all aspects of preventive and primary care. He believes that empowering patients with knowledge and practical tools can lead to healthier lives and better long-term outcomes. His healthcare journey began in 1996 as a physical therapy aide and has included roles as a psychiatric technician, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), telemetry technician, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), cardiac registered nurse, and ultimately Family Nurse Practitioner. This diverse clinical background provides him with a unique perspective and deep appreciation for every member of the healthcare team. Nate earned his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Dixie State College of Utah in 2005, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Utah University in 2008, and his Master of Science in Nursing with a primary focus in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from the University of South Alabama in 2011. Healthcare is truly a family calling. Nate comes from a family of healthcare professionals, including his mother, who has dedicated more than 40 years to nursing. He is also married to an ICU nurse. These influential women have inspired his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and continue to motivate him to be the kind of provider his patients deserve. Nate is fluent in Spanish, a skill he developed while serving a religious mission in Honduras from 1999 to 2001. He enjoys connecting with Spanish-speaking patients and helping ensure they feel comfortable and understood during their healthcare experience. Outside of work, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, which he considers the most important part of his life. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, and pursuing outdoor adventures throughout Southern Oregon. He also enjoys the thrill of finding hidden treasures at local thrift stores. Active in his church and community, Nate volunteers annually alongside his sons at the Britt Festival. Whether providing preventive care, managing chronic conditions, or helping patients navigate complex health concerns, Nate is committed to partnering with each patient to support lifelong health and wellness.

Having just moved to Oregon, I was in search for a new PCP. A relative of mine gave me a list of folks she thought would be good. Nathanial's name was on the list, and I called to see if they would be able to take me on as a new patient. They scheduled me very quickly, were very helpful in getting my insurance squared away, and were just plain friendly to deal with. When I met Nathanial for the first time, he spent a significant amount of time getting my background information and listening to my medical history. I have been seeing Nate Brown for several years now. He is absolutely amazing.
