About Shane R. Johnson
In his practice, Shane Johnson, PA, is highly motivated by patient education and prevention. “I want to help patients before chronic conditions develop,” he says. His work as a clinical educator shaped his view of patient relationships. “My goal is to actively listen and partner with patients to provide the best quality of care,” he says.
Ensuring that patients know their treatment options is important to Shane. “I emphasize that diet and exercise can play a large role in managing chronic conditions and improving overall quality of life,” he says. Shane believes his most important role as a medical provider is to guide and teach.
Shane holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Oregon State University; a master’s degree from the Physician Assistant Program at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine; and a master’s degree in exercise and sport science physiology from the College of Health Sciences Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University.
Shane was raised in Lakeview, Oregon. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time outdoors.

The staff at this clinic have always been professional, friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Shane was particularly excellent as he listened carefully to what I had to say and offered several options to resolve my health issues. I do not, however, care for Mychart at all: it is difficult to communicate through or schedule appointments (I usually end up calling directly).

Specifically for Dr. Desmukh, I consider her to be an excellent provider, best I have ever had--professional, caring, extremely knowledgeable. Appreciate that she knows and checks in about any specialist appointments, not sure I have ever had a provider in the past do that consistently. I also know that I will receive very good care from all the medical providers and staff in this office.
